Ongoing Research Studies

Frequently asked questions

How can I enroll in a study?
To participate in a study, you will need to create a Probando account. You can set up your account right from the home page of the Probando website by selecting “Register” in the top menu, or you can establish it while you are applying for a study. You’ll find the application link for each specific study on the right side of its description under “Apply for this study.”
Who is eligible to join a study?

Eligibility criteria for studies can differ greatly. To determine if you qualify for a particular study, please carefully review the inclusion and exclusion guidelines. If you have any uncertainties, it’s best to consult with your healthcare provider. Be aware that certain criteria, such as specific blood tests, will only be verified during the preliminary assessment associated with the study.

What are the benefits of participating in a study?
The benefits for participants can vary greatly. The specific rewards for each study will be outlined in its description. Typical forms of compensation may include travel expenses and other expenses you may incur from participation, free medical evaluations and treatments.
I have registered for a study. What are the next steps?

Your contact information will be securely provided to the study coordinator, who will reach out to you to arrange appointments.
During this communication, you will likely be re-evaluated against the required inclusion and exclusion criteria.
Therefore, it is essential to review all criteria thoroughly and ensure you only apply for studies that match your qualifications; otherwise, you may not be able to participate.

Where can I locate the contact information for the study coordinator?

If you have successfully registered for a study and have been confirmed as a participant by the study coordinator, you can find their contact information in your profile, directly within the overview of the relevant study.
